Choosing the right truck brake tester goes beyond a simple choice between models. An important question we like to start with is: How do you see brake testing working within your business? Do you need the ability to take brake-testing equipment between different locations? Or are you looking for a permanent testing solution that becomes…

For heavy vehicle workshops, brake testing is not only about preparing a vehicle for its next Certificate of Fitness (COF) inspection. Having accurate brake performance information available within the workshop can also help technicians make better maintenance decisions, identify problems more precisely and confirm that repairs or adjustments have achieved the required result. A recent…

A successful workshop is not just about the equipment it contains, but how efficiently that equipment can be used. While specialist equipment such as roller brake testers, inspection pits, and ventilation systems all play an important role, it’s the way these different elements are brought together that determines the overall performance of the workshop. At…

Modern vehicle workshops are under increasing pressure to carry out inspections efficiently while maintaining high diagnostic accuracy. Whether performing routine servicing, fleet maintenance, WOF inspections, or heavy vehicle COF inspections, technicians need to identify steering and suspension faults quickly, safely, and consistently. Axle play detectors, commonly referred to as play detectors or shaker plates, allow…

In any heavy vehicle workshop, productivity, safety, and efficient workflow depend on equipment that works together as a complete system. The workshop pit is a key part of that environment, but to carry out servicing, repairs, and inspections effectively, controlled lifting capability within the pit is essential. A pit jack is what makes that possible.…

Accurate brake testing is one of the most critical safety checks performed on heavy vehicles anywhere in the world. In New Zealand, the industry recognised early that true accuracy can only be achieved when brake testing reflects real-world operating conditions. That is why load simulation has been mandatory for heavy-vehicle Certificate of Fitness (COF) brake…
